The thrilling 11-inning contest that saw the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Blue Jays 5-4 attracted a total over 50 million viewers in the US, Canadian, and Japan markets. MLB reported this is the most-watched World Series Game 7 after the 1991 edition contest featuring the Minnesota Twins and Braves.

It also stands as the top-rated Fall Classic matchup after the 2017 Game 7 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Astros, which drew over 29 million. This represents a 16% increase compared to the previous Game 7 between the Nationals and Astros, which drew 23.19 million viewers.

In Japan, where the final game started at 9 p.m. in the local time zone, it attracted 12 million.
